No, GunTab credit card transactions are not classified under the “gun store” Merchant Category Code that was announced in September 2022.

GunTab is not a gun store. GunTab will make an announcement if we are ever forced to use the “gun store” MCC in spite of that fact.

Bank transfers are an alternative

If you remain concerned about the “gun store” MCC, you can pay by bank account. Bank account transfers do not use the MCC classification system, or any other classification system. You can pay by bank account transfer without any concern of your transaction being flagged based on classification.
