Can sellers pay the credit card convenience fee?

Yes, sellers can pay the credit card convenience fee. By default, buyers pay the credit card convenience fee, because they have the choice to pay by bank account without a convenience fee. However, sellers can choose to pay it:

  • Case-by-case: When sending a payment request from your GunTab account: On the page where you enter the merchandise and shipping prices, you’ll see “GunTab credit card convenience fee paid by.” Click the arrow under this field and select Seller (the default selection is Buyer).
  • Generally: On your “Account” page in GunTab, click “Transaction preferences”. Then for “Credit card convenience fee paid by”, select “Seller”.
