How should sellers handle the Colorado "Retail Delivery Fee"?

Colorado charges a “Retail Delivery Fee” on all shipment deliveries. This tax started at $0.27 in 2022, and increased to $0.28 in 2023.

This tax is similar to sales tax. It is paid by buyers, and collected by sellers. Marketplace Facilitators like GunBroker collect this tax from sellers, and pass it along to the State of Colorado.

When sending a payment offer or payment request involving a buyer in Colorado, this “Retail Delivery Fee” should be added to the “Shipping and insurance” amount.
