Is the seller required to give a tracking number for each shipment?
No, sellers are not required to provide a tracking number for each shipment. That is because many sellers don’t know what the tracking number is.
When the seller does not provide a tracking code, GunTab expects the buyer or seller to manually “mark as delivered”. This manual update is usually slower than an automatic update, so the seller’s disbursement is often delayed. Sellers are encouraged to provide a tracking code so their disbursement is not delayed.
When the seller provides a tracking code, GunTab will automatically monitor the shipment. GunTab will automatically “mark as delivered” within moments of delivery, and send delivery notifications to the buyer and seller (by email and, if enabled, by text message).
