What happens if there is a problem with a transaction?

It is unusual for a problem to occur with a GunTab transaction, but no transaction is perfect. Here are a few different problems that might arise, and what happens in that case:

  • Merchandise damaged in shipment: If merchandise is damaged during shipment, the buyer may file a dispute during the inspection period. If the dispute is successful, the buyer should return the merchandise to the seller for a refund. (Please note that sellers are responsible for insuring shipments against damage, so in this case the seller should be able to file an insurance claim to cover the cost of the damage.)
  • Merchandise significantly not as described: If merchandise is significantly different from how the seller described it, the buyer may file a dispute during the inspection period. If the dispute is successful, the buyer should return the merchandise to the seller for a refund.
  • Buyer failed background check: It is the buyer’s responsibility to only purchase items that the buyer may lawfully possess. If the buyer fails a background check, that is no fault of the seller. Although the buyer cannot take possession of the merchandise, the merchandise is still owned by the buyer. The buyer should coordinate with the gun dealer to sell the merchandise without taking possession of it.
