Why do the payment methods have downsides?

Credit cards have a convenience fee and bank accounts have a delay. GunTab earns nothing from these drawbacks, and would prefer they didn’t exist.

Unfortunately, these drawbacks are unavoidable. Even payment platforms like PayPal and Venmo suffer from them. In the United states, we’re currently stuck with them.

The United States relies on old payment systems. Credit cards launched in 1958. Bank account transfers (ACH) launched in 1972. These old systems are either expensive or slow. The United States needs a modern payment system without drawbacks, like other developed countries already have.

The United States started testing a modern payment system in 2023. It is inexpensive and fast, meaning it doesn’t suffer from the drawbacks of old systems. GunTab hopes to make this option available to you as soon as possible, for free.
